Twitter CEO Elon Musk Says Now Twitter Prioritise 'Verified' Accounts

Twitter CEO Elon Musk on Tuesday announced that all verified accounts on the social network now stand ‘prioritized.’

The latest announcement from the world’s second richest person came nearly three days after millions of Twitter users lost their blue checks.

Moreover, Twitter’s ongoing Blue Tick saga took yet another twist later, as many influential and famous users have had their blue checks restored by Musk, despite not subscribing to the service.

After a day, some users claimed their “blue tick” restored “mysteriously’. Some of the users in India speculated that the microblogging site has restored “verified” for those who have a follower base of over a million.

This Step of the Twitter CEO might give special attention to people who had their accounts verified.

If You Don’t Know Twitter Blue

Twitter Blue is a paid subscription service of the microblogging website which costs $7.99 a month and the accounts subscribed to it are granted blue ticks.

The features include editing tweets, through which the users will be able to edit their tweets 30 minutes after posting, NFT profile pictures, bookmark folders and custom app icons.

All Twitter Blue features will be available immediately except the blue checkmark, which will appear on eligible profiles after a review to ensure subscribed accounts meet all eligibility criteria.

Twitter had about 300,000 verified users under the original blue-check system many of them journalists, athletes and public figures.
