Voting began on Thursday in Bihar’s Gopalganj and Mokama assembly constituencies amid tight security. Tight security arrangements have been made during the polling. State-of-the-art paramilitary forces and district police personnel are deployed at all booths. A magistrate has been posted at every two buildings and a large police force has also been deployed with him.

Let us tell you that voting has started in 330 polling stations for the Gopalganj assembly by-election. Voters queued up at several polling stations since 7 am. 3 lakh 31 thousand voters of the assembly constituency will decide the political fate of 9 candidates. 9 candidates are in the fray including Kusum Devi from BJP, Mohan Prasad Gupta from RJD, Abdul Salam from AIMIM, Indira Yadav from BSP.

According to the Election Department, polling will be held in Gopalganj and Mokama from 7 am to 6 pm. 3,31,469 voters will exercise their franchise in Gopalganj and 2,81,251 in Mokama. 330 polling stations have been selected in Gopalganj. These have been formed in 193 polling areas. At the same time, polling will be held at 289 polling stations in Mokama.
