Gong Myung, who returned to drama after a long time, properly proved what a ‘Gong Myung Romance’ is. Ram Woo is a character who informs Jung Hee Wan (Kim Min Ha) of his death, but at the same time wants to restore hope in life. Gong Myung received favorable reviews for his convincing portrayal of Ram Woo, who embraces Hee Wan with a bright smile and affectionate energy like a ray of light in a dark situation facing death. Above all, his deeper eyes, resonant voice, and more solid inner acting were enough to be recognized for his potential as a romantic male lead.

First, Gong Myung expressed his feelings through his agency Saram Entertainment, saying, “This is a meaningful piece of work, so it doesn’t feel real that it’s ending. I would like to thank everyone who loved ‘A Week Before I Die. ’” He continued, “I tried to make it feel like Ram Woo is warmly embracing and comforting Hee Wan, as I hope that Hee Wan will have the strength to live well in the future.” This is also revealed in Ram Woo’s earnest sincerity as he appears in front of Hee Wan, knowing that he will disappear if he interferes with the register, and finally allows Hee Wan’s time to pass.

Gong Myung leads Hee Wan with a bright appearance, but he also asks Hee Wan, who seems to be waiting for death, “Why can’t you keep moving forward?” He did not let a single scene go by in vain, showing Ram Woo’s side only caring about Hee Wan’s safety when they meet again. In particular, Ram-woo’s last scene, where he tries to be remembered with a smile while saving Hee-wan until the end by saying, “Saving you is saving me,” made viewers cry.

On the other hand, Gong-myung expressed relief at his mother Jeong-suk (Seo Young-hee) living with longing instead of guilt over his death, and revealed that he wanted to express familial love while acting as Ram-woo, who lights a fire for Jeong-suk. “I thought that consolation for longing was also necessary, so I tried to immerse myself in that part with all my heart and act,” he said. “I hope that everyone who watches it will truly love their loved ones and miss those they miss to their heart’s content.” Finally, he expressed his affection for the drama by saying, “‘A Week Before I Die’ is something you can enjoy watching whenever you start watching it. If you haven’t watched it yet, please watch it on Tving right now.”
