Ottawa Police are warning the public of two unprovoked attacks on women walking in Ottawa’s south end.
Two women were treated for minor injuries after the two separate attacks last weekend.
Police say on September 13 two women were walking south on Cahill Drive near McCarthy Road when a man approached from behind. A 58-year-old woman was hit in the head.
The second attack occurred around 8 p.m. on September 18 in the area of Uplands Drive and Bennett Street.
Police say a 29-year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk when a man approached her from a lawn and hit her.
Investigators assume that the same person could be responsible for both attacks.
Police say the suspect is a male, aged 20 to 30, 5’7″ to 5’9″ tall with long black curls hanging over his shoulders. At the time of the alleged incidents, he was wearing a dark baseball cap, white shirt, dark shorts and white running shoes.
