Pickles: In Lonavala, on Monday around 3 pm, two separate incidents have taken place in Khandala and Valwan areas of two wheeler-carrying persons who grabbed mangalsutras from women’s necks and ran away. In the first incident, Sushila Balu Bhagat (age 60, resident of Valavan, Lonavla) has filed a complaint. Around 3 pm, when Bhagat was walking on the road in the limits of Valwan village, two unknown men suddenly came from the front on a black motorcycle and seized 2 dollars of gold weighing 6 grams from the plaintiff’s neck.
So, the second incident took place in the Bryn Batri Khandala area. Savita Ravindra Poshire (24 years, resident of Batteryhill Khandala), who sells guavas in front of the Dukes Hotel, grabbed a 2 tola mini gun from her neck by two unknown men on two wheels and ran away. An atmosphere of fear has spread among the citizens due to two cases of theft in broad daylight on the same day. A case has been registered at the Lonavala city police station in connection with these two incidents.
