A large number of tourists eager to see the elephants ‘Reghu’ and ‘Ammu’, who became famous after the Oscar-winning documentary short film ‘The Elephant Whisperers’, flock to the Theppakadu Elephant Camp in Tamil Nadu

The film directed by Kirtika Gonsalves depicts life around two members of the Kattunayakan tribe and a couple, Bomman and Bellie, who foster and raise orphaned elephant calves.

Sukumaran Nair from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala visits Theppakadu Elephant Camp for the first time. The retired engineer from the Kerala State Water Works department while talking to IANS said, “This is the first time I have visited the Theppakadu Elephant camp. The only idea is to meet the elephants Reghu and Ammu and if possible have a chat with them . Bomman and Bellie.”
