Manoharpur police station blocked the National Highway near Navalpura Road and arrested two smugglers in the alcohol smuggling case on Monday by seizing illegal English liquor worth Rs 50 lakh hidden under buds (white) Done Manish Sharma said in charge the station that the Jaipur Rural Superintendent of Police, Dr Rajiv Prachar, has given instructions to conduct an anti-drug campaign. Under which siege the National Highway is done daily by forming a team under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police Kotputli Vidya Prakash, Shahpura Circle Officer Surendra Krishnaniya.
During the blockade, the police received information that a truck was coming from Kotputli towards Jaipur. In which illicit liquor is loaded. At which police station in-charge Manish Sharma, ASI Balwan, Rajendra Kumar, Lekhram, Prakash, Ramesh Chand, Dilip Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Upendra Kumar, Yadram, Suresh, Tej Singh formed a team on the way to go from Delhi to Jaipur, Navalpura.Vehicles were searched by starting the blockade near the bend.
During the check, as the informant said, when the truck was stopped and checked, white buds were found in the truck. Under which the illicit liquor was filled in the box. In these there were a total of 450 cartons manufactured in Punjab filled with illegal English liquor. According to the police, the market price is said to be Rs 50 lakh.
Police seized the truck and arrested Hemaram s/o Rekha Ram Jat (23), resident of Bakhasar Sarla police station, Barmer and Ram alias Ramaram, d/o Bhikharam Jat (33), resident of Barmer, on charges of transporting illegal liquor .
