The group has denied the allegations and called them “malicious”, “baseless” and a “calculated attack on India”.

The Supreme Court has established a committee of six member experts to examine the issues arising from the stock crash. The committee has been tasked with making a general assessment to make investors more aware and suggest measures to strengthen regulatory measures for the stock market.

Grŵp Adani has welcomed the Supreme Court’s order, with Chairman Gautam Adani saying “it will be final in a time-bound manner” and “truth will prevail”.

While a group of opposition parties have welcomed the Supreme Court’s order, another group, including the Congress, has demanded an investigation through a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). The government has opposed the opposition’s demand for a JPC inquiry and Rahul Gandhi’s statement in London. There was confusion in Parliament. The first three days of the second phase of the budget session saw constant disruptions and frequent delays.
