CM Manohar Lal Khattar said that cow has been given the status of mother in religious texts. He said that one polyclinic would be established in Charkhi Dadri out of the six proposed veterinary clinics.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said the state government will set up six veterinary “polyclinics” for the care and protection of cattle in gaushalas. Khattar said at the closing program of Haryana Livestock Exhibition-2023 at Charkhi Dadri on Monday, ‘Cows have religious importance in our culture.

Khattar said that the cow has been given the status of mother in religious texts One of the proposed six veterinary polyclinics will be established in Charkhi Dadri.
Khattar said that along with increasing the budget of Haryana Gau Sewa Aayog from Rs 40 crore to Rs 400 crore for the financial year 2023-24, the state government is making dedicated efforts to protect cows.

Animal Husbandry and Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister JP Dalal and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit chief Om Prakash Dhankhar were present on the occasion, according to an official statement.
Khattar said that a new ‘Sanjhi Dairy’ project has been envisaged in the state budget. Under this project, a shed will be constructed on the Panchayat land and such cattle will be kept there whose owners do not have enough space to keep their cattle. He said that this work will be done by the Co-operative Department and that this plan will be implemented from April 1. (input language)
