Islamabad: Nasr, the first aid ship sent to Syria and Turkey, has arrived in Syria with 1,000 tons of aid on board.
According to the spokesperson of the NDMA, the NDMA had sent the goods from here on February 28 for both countries. This is the first ship carrying 1000 tonnes of relief goods to reach the destination. Relief supplies include blankets, dry rations, medicines and warm clothes.
According to the spokesperson, a large number of people participated in the welcoming ceremony of the aircraft, high officials of the Syrian government, Pakistani ambassador Air Marshal (retd) Shahid Akhtar, school children and other people also participated in large numbers. The ship and crew welcomed through play.
According to the spokesperson, the supporting PNS was also sent on March 12 with a load of 550 tons. A civil vessel has also been sent by NDMA with 67 containers. It will send support soon.
