Found unconscious in the bathroom, doctors pronounced him dead

New Delhi : The oldest senior journalist in the country, Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik, in this world no more. He was 78 years old. He has been told that on Tuesday morning he went to take a bath, but he did not come out for a long time, then at 9:30 family members broke the door and found him inside unconscious. After this he was taken to Pratiksha Hospital near the house. The doctors there said he had died a long time ago. As soon as the news of his death was received, there was a shock from journalism to the political world. Messages of condolence are pouring in.
Dr. Vaidik worked for a long time in the field of journalism, political thought, international politics, and Hindi. He was born on 30 December 1944 in Indore. Apart from being knowledgeable in international affairs, he had a command of Russian, Persian, German and Sanskrit languages. Dr. received Vaidik his PhD in International Politics from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. He is the first Indian scholar who wrote his thesis on International Politics in Hindi. He studied and researched at Columbia University in New York, Institut Narodov Aji in Moscow, School of Oriental and African Studies in London and Kabul University in Afghanistan during his PhD research.
Dr. Vaidik held the responsibility as founder-editor of PTI-Bhasha (Hindi News Committee) for about 10 years. Before this he was the editor (thinker) of Navbharat Times. In the past, his articles have been published in various newspapers.
Many honors were given to Dr. Vaidik for his work in the field of media and language. He received Vishwa Hindi Samman, Mahatma Gandhi Samman, Dinkar Shikhar Samman, Purushottam Tandon Gold Medal, Govind Vallabh Pant Award, Academy Hindi Samman, Lohia Samman, Kabul University Award, Media India Samman, Lala Lajpatrai Samman etc.
