CBI Operation Trishul: Mohammad Hanif Makkata is the 33rd fugitive who came to India since January 2022. He was brought back under Operation Trishul run by the CBI.
Operation Trident: The Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) ‘Operation Trishul’ continues. Under this operation, CBI has so far brought 33 refugees to India in the last one year. According to Interpol, Indian agencies are looking for 276 fugitives globally. The latest case is Saudi Arabia. The CBI has successfully brought back an accused wanted by the Kerala Police on charges of kidnapping and murder from Saudi Arabia through extradition under Operation Trishul. The officers provided this information.
Officials said that an Interpol Red Corner Notice (RCN) has been issued against the fugitive Mohammad Hanif Makkata and the Kerala Police wanted Hanif in connection with the abduction and murder of a person named Kareem in the year 2006. He said that the Kunnamangalam police station was Kozhikode has investigated the matter.

Mohammad Hanif Makkata lived in Saudi Arabia
Officials said Hanif lives in Saudi Arabia. He said Saudi Arabia’s Interpol unit informed the CBI about Makkata’s whereabouts and sent a team with a request to take him back to India. The CBI gave this information to the Kerala Police, who brought the accused back home from Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
