That will change this situation? 2 km after giving birth on the road. The woman carrying the child
Jaipur: In Odisha, a woman who gave birth on the road had to walk 2 km to board an ambulance due to the lack of a road. Her plight has come to light as she walked far away with her child.
The incident took place on Wednesday night at Dasmandpur in Koraput area.
Swathi Mutuli (28), a woman from Tungal village, went into labor on Wednesday night and an ambulance was called. But on the way, the ambulance got stuck on the road, so before taking the ambulance out of the ground, it was advised to bring the pregnant woman to the ambulance stand. They also pointed out that there is no road facility for the ambulance to reach the pregnant woman’s place.
She was immediately pregnant and gave birth to a child on the way. Then she walked with her baby girl for a distance of 2 kilometers with the help of torch light and boarded the ambulance.
Later, both were admitted to the hospital and treated.
There are about 121 villages in Dasmandpur region. These do not have road facilities. Due to the lack of roads, there is no opportunity for vehicular traffic and people come out of the village through hilly and difficult paths.
