Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Market index fell as much as 897.28 points to settle at 58,237.85 points on Monday. The National Stock Exchange’s Nifty also fell by 258 points to settle at 17,154.30. The index fell 1.52 percent while the Nifty fell 1.48 percent. The index closed at its lowest level in five months. Investors have lost around Rs 6.6 lakh crore in the last three sessions. Meanwhile, the index has dropped more than 2000 points. Investors have lost around four lakh crores yesterday. Yesterday IndusInd Bank, SBI, Tata Motors, Adani Ports and Eicher Motors Nifty fell. While shares of Tech Mahindra, Apollo Hospitals, ONGC and HUL were higher. The news that America’s Silicon Valley Bank went bankrupt had a big impact on the stock market yesterday.
