Rawalpindi (INP) Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has announced that he has disassociated himself from the film Rawalpindi Express and will take legal action if his story is included.
In a message on Instagram, Shoaib Akhtar said, “With great sadness, I want to inform you all that after many months of deliberation, I have decided to disassociate myself from the film Rawalpindi Express and its makers.” And through my management and legal team I have terminated the contract. Shoaib Akhtar further wrote that it was definitely a dream project and I tried hard to get involved but unfortunately things didn’t work out.
He said that due to failure to resolve differences amicably and repeated breach of contract, I eventually had to cut ties with him.Shoaib Akhtar warned that if the filmmakers continue to work on the biopic and that strict legal action would be taken if my name or my life story is used in any way.
