Rajya Sabha MP Intermediate: Viblavkumar Vetri- Dinamani
Rajya Sabha held in Tripura on Thursday M.P. Former Chief Minister Viblav Kumar Dev, who contested on behalf of the BJP, won the by-election.

36 MLAs of BJP and 7 MLAs of ally Tripura Purvagudi Makkal Peramana have voted for Viblav Kumar. Saha has also got the votes of 15 MLAs of the Marxist Communist Party. Only one Congress MLA, Sudeep Roy, abstained from voting.
State Congress President Prajit Sinha said, “Since the party has not fielded a candidate, Sudeep Roy has been asked to ignore the voter registration.”
Manik Saha, who was a Rajya Sabha MP from Tripura, took charge as the Chief Minister last May. Subsequently, his MP He resigned from the post. Due to this, the vacancy has been filled.
After winning the election, in a Facebook post, Viplav Kumar said, ‘With the grace of Mata Tripurasundari, I will continue to work for my beloved people of Tripura’.
