Rajgurunagar; Leading News Service: The incident of a government doctor being beaten by a patient who came for treatment at Chandoli Rural Hospital happened on Sunday (12th). Medical officer Pravinkumar Pandurang Ingle has filed a complaint against patient Hanuman Sopan Wadekar (Rest. Wadekar Sthala Shiroli, District Khed) in Khed police station.
The detailed information about this incident is that Dr. Praveen Kumar Ingle is working in government service as a medical officer in Chandoli Rural Hospital. Hanuman Wadekar had allegedly taken pesticide. So his relatives brought him to Chandoli Rural Hospital for treatment. Dr. Ingle and his colleagues immediately began treating Wadekar. Meanwhile, Wadekar objected to the treatment and shouted loudly and abused him saying “I don’t want to touch my body”. He grabbed the collar of Dr.’s T-shirt. Ingle tore off the T-shirt and hit him in the ear. The doctor rushed to Ingle’s body to kill him with an iron rod for holding salt. A case has been registered against the patient Wadekar regarding this incident and the village police is investigating.
