Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has announced that he will provide free flour to the poor and middle class during Ramadan.

According to the Prime Minister’s announcement, free flour will be provided to about a million people of the federal capital Islamabad in Ramadan. Mian Shahbaz Sharif has also invited Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan to join this scheme.
This announcement was made at a high level meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, where former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Federal Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Councilor Ahad Cheema, Federal Minister of State for Petroleum Dr Mossadegh Malik and other relevant officials participated.

Addressing the meeting Mian Shahbaz Sharif said that they are trying to reduce the problems of the poor and middle class during Ramadan. He said that modern technology should be used to make distribution of loose flour transparent.
The meeting was briefed on the provision of petrol at a discounted price for motorbike and rickshaw drivers, various suggestions were made in this regard, and the Prime Minister instructed to complete the program and present it soon.
