Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the nation on the occasion of India’s 74th Republic Day. Prime Minister Modi said that this occasion is also of special importance as the country celebrates Republic Day during independence Amrit Mahotsav. PM Modi tweeted that there are many good wishes for Republic Day. This time the occasion is also special because we are celebrating it during the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. We, the great Mujahideen of the country, want to move forward united to realize the dreams of freedom. Happy Republic Day to all Indians!

One of the highlights of the Republic Day Parade, which will begin at 10 am on Delhi’s Kartiya Trail, will be a unique combination of India’s military prowess and cultural diversity. Which will include about 23 tableaux. Of these, 17 will be from states and union territories and six from various ministries and departments.

These parades showcase the rich tradition, cultural heritage of India, and a scene of the country’s progress and achievements will be a part of this grand procession. Indian Armed Forces will showcase their skills through horse shows, various dance performances, motorcycle display, air warrior drill, naval band and martial arts. For the first time, female riders will also take part in the parade. 503 dancers will present an exciting cultural show during the parade, depicting the theme ‘Nari Shakti’.

India will also witness the biggest drone show with 3,500 indigenous UAVs showcasing national personalities and events in precise coordination showcasing the technological prowess of Raisina Hills youth. Security has been tightened in the national capital ahead of the Republic Day celebrations.

The police have increased patrolling and checking for vandalism. According to news agency PTI, around 6,000 security personnel have been deployed and will be heavily barricaded at intersections, checkpoints with sniffer dogs and metal detectors.

According to the Delhi Police, around 65,000 people are expected to watch the procession on the Kartavaya Route. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is the main guest of this year’s Republic Day and a group of 120 members from Egypt will also march during the celebrations on the Kartawaya Trail. The theme of this year’s Republic Day celebrations is Jan Bhagdari (People’s Participation).
