In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project: Under the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project, Prime Minister Modi will hand over keys of flats to the slum dwellers in the Vigyan Bhawan landless camp in Delhi.
New Delhi: After assuming the post of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi said that one of his dreams is to provide a roof over everyone’s head. Part of that vision was Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will provide 3,024 new flats in Delhi to provide a roof over the heads of slum dwellers. The prime minister will give these flats to the slum dwellers in Delhi’s Kalkaji under the slum rehabilitation scheme.
It is learned that Prime Minister Modi will hand over keys of flats to the slum dwellers in the Vigyan Bhavan landless camp in Delhi under the Slum Rehabilitation Project. This event will start from 4:30 PM. Sources in the Prime Minister’s Office said that to fulfill Prime Minister Modi’s dream of providing housing for all, the Delhi Development Authority acquired 376 plots and built new flats there. A total of 3024 flats will be provided with adequate facilities for the residents of Jhagi slum to lead a healthy life.
It is known that work was started on three projects by Delhi Development Authority. They are Kalkaji, Jalivawala Bagh and Kathputli Nagar. Phase-by-phase rehabilitation of the residents of Landless Camp, Nawajawan Camp and Jawahar Camp has been arranged under the Kalkaji Extension Project. Today, in the first phase, new flats will be given to those living in landless camps. These flats have been constructed at a cost of Rs 345 crore. The interior of the flat is decorated with floor tiles, ceramic tiles and Udaipur green marble stone. These flats have many facilities including two water lines, lift, reservoir, park, electric substation.
In addition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also launch the Invest Karnataka 2022 program through virtual media this morning. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Global Investor Conference at 10:30 am via video conference. He will also deliver the opening speech at the event.
According to sources in the Prime Minister’s Office, the conference has been organized with the aim of bringing investors and development for the next decade. The three-day event will begin today, November 2, in Bangalore. This event will continue till November 4. 80 guests from abroad will give speeches in this event. Industrialists from Kumar Mangalam Birla to Sajjan Jindal, Vikram Kirloskar will speak. In addition, many industrialists and investors from France, Germany, Holland, South Korea, Japan and Australia will also participate in this conference.
