No faction of Shiv Sena will hold Dussehra rally in Shivaji Park, BMC did not allow both Uddhav-Shinde factions

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in Mumbai has denied permission to any of the Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde factions for a Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park. The BMC has denied permission to both the Shiv Sena factions for Dussehra rally on October 5, citing law and order. BMC commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal has confirmed this.

Law and order problem may arise

According to the Indian Express news, a BMC official said that in a report submitted to the BMC by the local police station, it has been said that if any faction is allowed to rally at Shivaji Park, then on the day of the rally there will be a political clash between the two factions. There is a possibility of conflict or conflict. Officials said there was tension in Dadar after the recent firing incident and the local police did not want to jeopardize the law and order situation in the area. On this basis, permission has been denied to both the Shiv Sena factions as a precaution.

It is not possible to divide the rally site into two parts: BMC

In a letter sent to Mumbai’s Dadar MLA Sada Sarvankar, the BMC said permission for holding a Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park was sought by both the opposing factions of Shiv Sena. But it will not be possible for the local body officials to divide the land of the rally site into two separate parts. Therefore, as a precautionary measure to avoid any confrontation, both the factions have been denied permission for the rally.

Let us tell you that after the break in Shiv Sena this year, both the faction of Eknath Shinde, who formed the government in the state with the BJP and the faction of former CM Uddhav Thackeray, had sought permission from the BMC to hold a rally at Shivaji Park. Meanwhile, the Thackeray family has approached the Bombay High Court seeking permission for the rally as per tradition. On the other hand, Shinde faction has got permission to hold a rally in Bandra-Kurla Complex.
