National Seminar on ‘Role of Saiva Athenes in Tamil Development’
A national seminar on ‘Role of Saiva Athinas in Tamil Development’ was held on Friday on behalf of the Tamil Archdiocese.
In the seminar, Darumapuram Adheenam Masilamani Desika Swami spoke:-

An app called ‘Thirupaara’ has recently been released to facilitate the downloading of the existing twelve Thirupaaara songs through mobile phones. We have translated 14 types of satras in 20 languages including English and Tamil. He said that the Tamil College, which was started 70 years ago by Thirugara Vidwan, is now functioning as an Arts and Science College.
Kunrakkudi Ponnambalam Adigalar said, ‘We have failed to appreciate the history of the development of Tamil by the Atheenas. The share of Saiva Atheenas as Tamil-developed universities of knowledge is not inferior to each other. Uvesa, who was engaged in the great work of collecting prints related to Tamil literature, was delighted to see the rare information found in Kunrakkudi Mudalaipatti Kavirayar’s house and said that he found a Tamil temple.
S.R.M.Vendt D.R.Parivend said, ‘During the current year, a new department of Tamil Saiva Siddhanta will be started in S.R.M.Kalvi Institute’.
Many others, including Perur Adhinam Thampiran Swami, Thiruvavaduthurai Thampiran Swami, Ratnagiri Balamurugan Adu Swami, Mylam Shivanana Balya Swami, Suriyanar Temple Atheenagarth Switzerland Sarahanabhavananda Swami, participated. Earlier, a Devara pannisai was held by the students of Dharumapuram Atheenam Devara School.
