Two courts have issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Imran in separate cases, however, he repeatedly failed to appear before them and instead, held a massive rally in Lahore on Sunday. It has also been announced to hold a “historic” rally next Sunday.

In connection with the Toshakhana case, the Islamabad police also arrived in Lahore on 5 March, but were told that Khan was not at his home in Zaman Park, resulting in them leaving empty-handed.

Earlier the Islamabad court had reserved its verdict on the plea of the former prime minister seeking to be exempted from hearing the case. Last week, the IHC stayed the non-bailable arrest warrant issued by a local court on the PTI chief due to his frequent absence. However, in the context of Sunday’s Lahore rally, many international journalists have tweeted that Imran Khan is the most popular leader in Pakistan at the moment. Whenever an attempt is made to arrest him, a large number of supporters and workers of his party take to the streets.
