Raipur (State Bureau). IPS transfer in CG: The Home Department on Wednesday evening transferred 11 officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS) and 39 officers of the State Police Service. With the latest changes, the image of Raipur Police has completely changed. The officers posted to traffic have been transferred from ASP City and ASP Crime. IPS Mayank Gurjar Azad Chowk has been appointed as Raipur CSP.
Meanwhile, Ratna Singh as Additional Superintendent (ASP) Bhanupratapur, Gaurav Rampravesh Roy as ASP Operations Bijapur, Nikhil Ashok as City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Bhilai, Pooja Kumar as CSP Kotwali Bilaspur, Prabhat Kumar as CSP Cantonment Durg, Vankarbha Vive Ramanlal as CSP Durg, Rajnala Smritik CSP Ambikapur, Robinson Guria CSP Darri, Sandeep Patel CSP Civil Lines Bilaspur, Vikas Kumar CSP Bastar.
The move reflects Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu’s displeasure over rising crime and gambling in the capital. Minister Sahu has warned a meeting of police officers in Raipur to keep a list of gambling and betting people. In a subsequent reshuffle, ASP Raipur along with Abhishek Maheshwari of the state police service was given the charge of crime. ASP Raipur Sukhanandan Rathore has been reassigned as AIG Intelligence as well as ASP ATS Police Headquarters. Maheshwari was appointed keeping in view the crimes taking place in the capital.
DSP Traffic Satish Thakur has been posted in Raipur. In his place, Gurjit Singh has been given the charge of Traffic DSP. Along with them Dinesh Sinha as DSP Crime, Kalpana Verma as CSP, Jyotsana Chaudhary as DSP Azak, Chitra Verma as DSP SP, Rajeev Sharma as CSP Urla, Lalit Mehr as DSP IUCAW, Pitamber Patel as ASP Protocol Raipur.
