Indian Passenger Plane Departs For Doha After Medical Emergency Landing At JIAPNews WAALI

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint News / Pakistan Point – 13th March, 2023 ) : An Indian passenger plane made a ‘medical emergency’ landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) at 0012 hours on Monday and left for its destination, Doha (Qatar). .), after about a four hour stopover.

The pilot of the Air Indigo flight to Doha, which took off from Delhi, was 16 nautical miles east of Panjgur (Balochistan) when he made the emergency call asking for a doctor and an ambulance, a news release from the Aviation Department said.

“The pilot asked to divert the plane, which was carrying 163 passengers, to Karachi due to the illness of a passenger,” he added.

The pilot asked that the patient, a 60-year-old Nigerian woman, was not breathing and had no pulse.

Following the medical examination, the Air Indigo flight left for its destination at 4:06 am, with the body of the unfortunate Nigerian woman on board.
