New Delhi /: Amid ongoing tensions between India and China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), military intelligence agencies have issued an advisory against the use of commercially available Chinese mobile phones by Indian troops. Sources connected to the development told CNN News 18 that soldiers stationed in the area have been asked to be cautious and switch their phones to another company.

According to a document obtained by CNN News 18, the list includes 11 other leading Chinese mobile brands in the Indian market, including OnePlus Mobiles, Oppo Mobiles and Realme Mobiles. The advisory asks ‘military personnel and families’ to avoid buying or using mobile phones made in countries that are ‘enemies’ to India.
According to a senior official familiar with the development, “This is not the first time that such an advisor has been drafted but it has not yet been published as intended. The message is always clear. Everyone knows the origin of China and the risk associated with using mobile phones made in that country.
