Hinjewadi: The garbage problem, which has been a headache for ITnagari villagers for the past few years, now seems to be going out of the way to some extent. Because punitive action is being taken against those who throw garbage on various roads in Hinjewadi area. For this, the Hinjewadi Gram Panchayat has become aggressive and the staff of the Gram Panchayat is literally keeping vigil throughout the night and guarding the area.

Punitive action against littering

The Gram Panchayat administration has started a campaign against those who throw garbage in the open in the area. As per the guidance of Gram Panchayat officers and officials, various teams of Gram Panchayat workers are sitting all night on Hinjewadi Village Thana, internal roads, dead end places, IT Park area and mansions with the decision to make it free of garbage a village. A huge recovery is made from those involved by being caught red-handed while dumping waste.

Many places have become unofficial dumping grounds

Due to such fearless action of the Gram Panchayat, unruly villagers and small and big businessmen of the area have panicked. Due to the waste, a picture has been created of unauthorized dumping grounds being created in the area including Hinjewadi Village over the past few months. Because of this, the area was becoming disfigured. However, the health of the villagers is also a serious problem. Gram Panchayat often clean such places and put up boards for public awareness. However, despite repeated appeals, the Gram Panchayat has now taken up aggressive cleaning as the extent of open dumping in Hinjewadi area is not reducing.

By forming different teams of workers, waste disposal is done within the Gram Panchayat limits taking advantage of night and night darkness. Local villagers express their belief that if such activities continue, the number of people throwing waste in the open will decrease. For this purpose, the village panchayat members said that the administration is benefiting from the Indore visit tour organized by Group Development Officer Mulshi Sandeep Jathar, waste management and other measures.

In Hinjewadi area, the efficiency of the local administration is questioned as there are piles of garbage everywhere. Gram panchayat administration is trying to solve the waste problem. However, some unruly citizens do not recover. Therefore, such steps need to be taken.
