Nagpur, March 15: Unseasonal rains have started in the state since Holi. As a result, there was a huge loss of agriculture in many areas. Similarly, now the Indian Meteorological Department has once again issued a warning to Vidarbha. According to the information of the Indian Meteorological Department, chances of strong winds, hail storms and rain have been predicted in the Nagpur region from tomorrow till March 19. On March 16 and 17, an orange warning was issued in three districts namely Nagpur, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli. Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidri has appealed to citizens to be alert to avoid human and financial loss due to hailstorm and torrential rain.

Orange alert for all areas of Nagpur division

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning alert in all districts of Nagpur division and an orange alert has been issued in Nagpur, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts on Thursday, March 16 and Friday, March 17. Along with this, between 16th and 19th March , a warning (yellow warning) has been issued for strong winds and rain with hail in the entire Vidarbha. The Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of heavy rain in Bhandara and Gondia districts on Friday, March 17.

Damage to agricultural crops and fruit crops is predicted due to stormy rain accompanied by hail. While Holi is being celebrated everywhere in the state, hail storms occurred in two districts of North Maharashtra. It has caused heavy hail storm in some parts of Dhule and Nandurbar district. This big storm which started around 5 o’clock has caused a huge loss to the farmers.
