The patient was a student from a medical college. He is being treated in a private hospital. He died during treatment. This patient was infected with corona. Samples from 19 people who came into contact with him have been sent for testing. This young man went out for a walk. They were later tested and found to be infected with H3N2.

The Council’s Medical Health Officer, Dr. Anil Borage, has confirmed this. The health system has been informed of the first death of a patient due to H3N2 in Maharashtra.
