Gujarat Election 2022 Dates: Gujarat Assembly Election 2022, Date of Polling for Naranpur Vidhana Sabha Seat of Ahmedabad District

Ahmedabad: The date of 15th assembly election in Gujarat has been announced. At that time, the second phase of the election on the Thakkarbapanagar seat of Ahmedabad has been planned on December 5. Currently, elections are being held on a total of 22 assembly seats in Ahmedabad district. As for the 2017 election, BJP candidate Vallabh Kakadia and Babu Mangekia from Congress were given tickets from this seat. BJP’s Vallabh Kakadia won in it.

This seat is an impregnable fortress of BJP

After the new delimitation in the year 2008, Thakkarbapanagar assembly seat came into existence. Thakkarbapa Nagar seat is dominated by Patidars from Saurashtra. The seat includes the traditional BJP stronghold of Bapunagar. BJP had won in 2012 and 2017 assembly elections.

A look at the 2017 election results

Elections to the 14th Legislative Assembly in Gujarat were held on 9th December, 2017 and 14th December. Counting of votes was done on 18th December. Bharatiya Janata Party got majority in this election. However, Congress’s vote share and seats increased as compared to the 2012 elections. The Congress party won the highest number of seats in Gujarat since 1985. BJP got 99 seats in this election. Congress got 77 seats. NCP got one seat. BTP got two seats. Independents had three seats.

How many total voters in Gujarat?

Regarding the Gujarat Assembly Election 2022 (Gujarat Election 2022), the Election Commission announced the final list of voters after the voter reform program. In the list released by the commission, a total of 4,90,89,765 voters have been registered in the state. Along with this, 11,62,528 new voters have been registered in the state. Among the total voters, 2,53,36,610 male and 2,37,51,738 female voters have appeared. In which, more than 4 lakh disabled voters have also been registered. The total electorate also includes 1,417 transgender voters.



Voting on 1 and 5 December

Voting will be held in two phases in Gujarat. Voting for Gujarat elections will be held on December 1 and 5. Along with this, the result will be announced on December 8. The notification for the first phase will be released on November 5. Whereas, the form can be filled till November 14 for the first phase. The forms will be verified till November 15 for the first phase. The form can be withdrawn till November 17. The notification for the second phase will be released on November 10. In which form can be filled till November 17. While form verification will be conducted on November 18 and form can be withdrawn till 21st.
