HNU who was arrested and moved to the city

Hyderabad City, September 23 (Andhra Jyoti): John Stephen D’Souza alias Steve (60), a hotel manager in Goa, who is accused in a drug peddling case, was arrested by Hyderabad Narcotics Wing officials and Osmania University Police. The details of the case were revealed on Friday at the CP office along with HNU DCP Chakraborty and East Zone DCP Sunil Dutt. A leading drug peddler from Goa, Pritesh Narayan Borkar, was nabbed by the HNU and Osmania University police on August 16 when he came to the city to supply drugs. According to the information he provided, details of 600 people who regularly buy drugs were collected along with the names of drug suppliers (Tukaram Salgowkar alias Nana, Vikas Naik alias Vicky, Ramesh Chauhan, Steve, Edin Nunisa) in Goa. 162 cases have been registered and major drug smugglers have been targeted. To this extent HNU Police has reached Goa along with Osmania Police. Steve, manager of Hilltop Pub and Restaurant in Anjuna Beach, Goa, was arrested with the help of the Goa Police. He was produced in court and taken to the city on a PTI warrant. According to the information provided by Borkar, several other people selling drugs in Goa will be arrested soon, said HNU DCP Chakraborty.

African caught for selling drugs

HNU police arrested drug supplier Sumant along with Ghanaian Anthony (50), who is a key player in drug sales in the city. Drugs worth Rs.2 lakh were seized from him.
