Former Punjab governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar along with his colleagues have formally joined the Pakistan Muslim League, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The induction ceremony of former governor Chaudhry Sarwar was held at the Muslim League House in Lahore on Sunday.
Muslim League Quaid President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, federal minister Tariq Bashir Cheema, federal minister Salik Hussain and Ch Shafi, Ch Mohammad Sarwar, Begum Parveen Sarwar, Mrs. Sabahat, Ansar Farooq Ch, Ch Azhar Waraich, Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Mian Waheed Ahmed, Rashid Riaz, Tayyab Chand Mian Kashif Iqbal were prominent in the ceremony.
Welcoming Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar to the Muslim League, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that Ch Sarwar’s past and present politics were transparent. “He has a great affection for the people of Pakistan.”
Ch Shujaat added that after Ch Sawar joined the party, PML-Q will not only be strengthened in Punjab but also in other states. “A good number of overseas Pakistanis will also join our party following Ch Sarwar.”
Ch Sarwar said that he joined PML-Q with the spirit of serving the country and the nation. “I am ready to make this party a more vibrant, most dynamic and strong political party that works to build and develop Pakistan.
