Mumbai – Maharashtra state government, semi-government employees, municipal council, municipal corporation, non-teaching teachers, district council, principal, contract employees, coordination committee, on behalf of Maharashtra state from 14 March 2023 to implement the old scheme pension and for various demands going on indefinite strike across the state. The strike is supported by port and dock workers on behalf of the Mumbai Port Trust Dock and the General Workers Union.

A new pension scheme has been implemented for workers who were recruited after 2004 in government, semi-government and public sector industries, this pension scheme is unfair to labor workers. Basically it is wrong government policy to introduce two pension schemes for workers who do the same type of work in the same industry but are recruited differently. Therefore, the old pension scheme should be applied to labor workers of all industries recruited after 2004. Mumbai Port Trust Dock and General Workers Union President Adv. SK Shetye and General Secretary ₹ Sudhakar Aparaj has reached the Port Administration and Govt. Therefore, the Head of Dock Publicity of Mumbai Port Trust and General Employees Union, Maruti Vishwasrao, has said in his letter that the indefinite strike which he started from March 14 for calling the old pension scheme is supported by the port workers and the docks.
