RCB are yet to open the win account in the first season. The Delhi team has won all matches except one loss and has strengthened the second position in the points table.

Mumbai: Smriti Mandhana’s team lost in the Women’s Premier League match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. Royal Challengers Bangalore decided to bat first. 150 runs were scored for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Chasing this target, the Delhi team has won by 6 wickets. RCB got off to a cautious start but Smriti Mandhana was dismissed for 18 runs in the fifth over. Sophie Devine did not start scoring but was bowled by Shikha Pandey for 21 runs. Alyssa Perry then single-handedly took the reins of the RCB team on her shoulders and started tearing apart the Delhi bowlers.

Perry top scored with 61 runs when she hit 4 fours and 5 sixes. After Perry’s dismissal, youngster Richa Ghosh took the team to a respectable score with a score of 16 balls 37. Delhi’s Shikha Pandey took the most 3 wickets.

Delhi also got off to a poor start, with Shafali Verma being dismissed for a wicket on the second ball. Captain Meg Lanning couldn’t play a big game either. He returned with 15 runs.
