Dedicating the Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway to the nation
During the road show in Mandya, Karnataka, PM was welcomed with flowers.

Bengaluru : Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed with flowers during a road show in Mandya, Karnataka today. After this, the Prime Minister dedicated the Bengaluru-Mysore expressway to the nation. This expressway is 118 km long, which has been developed at a cost of around Rs 8,480 crore. After opening the expressway, Prime Minister Modi attacked the Congress fiercely. He said that Congress leaders are busy dreaming of digging my grave, but I am busy opening expressways and working for the poor people of the country.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, PM Modi said that Karnataka and the country is changing today with projects like Sagarmala and Bharatmala. When the world was grappling with Covid, India sent a loud message by increasing its infrastructure budget manifold. The Prime Minister further said that before the year 2014, the Congress government only worked to destroy poor families and robbed their development funds.
He said that with the opening of the expressway, the travel time between Bengaluru and Mysore would now come down from about 3 hours to 75 minutes. In this project, Bengaluru-Nidaghatta-Mysore section of NH-275 has been made 6-laning. This expressway will be a catalyst for socio-economic development in both cities.
Laying of foundation stone for Mysore-Khushalnagar Highway
After this, PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of the 4 lane Mysore-Khushalnagar highway. Spread over 92 km, this project will be developed at a cost of around 4130 crores. The project will play a vital role in boosting the connectivity of Khushalnagar to Bengaluru and help reduce the travel time from about 5 to just 2.5 hours.
