CM Ashok Gehlot meets the workers of the helipad.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot arrived in Laxmangarh today to participate in the ongoing Shekhawati Festival in Sikar. While interacting with the media at the helipad here, he called calling the heroines ridiculous. On the issue of making Sikar a department, CM Ashok Gehlot referred to PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara and said that the Attorney General of the Supreme Court is standing next to me. Who has been telling me about this for the last 6 months. I told them to wait a while. Currently Ramlubhaya Committee has been formed. A decision will be made on the basis of his report. The sentiments of Shekhawati people will be respected.

On the Veerangana case happening in the state, the CM said, such politics defame Rajasthan in the country. The BJP is insulting the heroines by bringing them on the streets. During the Kargil war, when I was the Prime Minister, I myself went to the homes of 56 martyrs in Rajasthan’s Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Barmer and gave packages to their families. If a heroine was pregnant, she would get a job for her child and also help the martyr’s parents. Even if the government accepts their demand, then the heroines of hundreds of state martyrs will make this demand. What will the government do then? CM said where were these people for 4 years. What is being demanded now is absurd.
Artists are promoted in Rajasthan. CM Ashok Gehlot said that a budget of 100 crores has been made to promote the artists of Rajasthan. CM Gehlot said that earlier 200 children from Rajasthan used to go abroad to study. Now that number has increased to 500. The government will cover the costs of travel, accommodation, food and fees abroad.
The ongoing Shekhawati Festival in Sikar will end today. Bollywood singer Kailash Kher will perform in this. Many Members of Parliament and other public representatives from Sikar district, including Superintendent of Police Govind Singh Dotasara and Minister-in-Charge Shakuntala Rawat, are present in the programme. CM Ashok Gehlot’s program is to stay in Sikar tonight.
