According to a government statement, show cause notices have been issued to the operators of 202 ration shops.
An official spokesperson of the Jharkhand government said that on the basis of surprise inspections conducted by officials appointed at the district level, three ration permits were canceled in Hazaribagh while 17 were given show cause notices.
According to the statement, licenses of 13 shops in Lohardaga were canceled and show cause notices were issued to 19 ration shopkeepers. Five shops were suspended in Seraikela-Kharsawan and show cause notices were issued to 22 shops.
According to the statement, show cause notices were issued to 14 shops in Ranchi.
During the inspection mainly ration cards, distribution, grain lifting, number of card holders, stock, account register and official documents were examined.
