Mumbai: Dahisar police arrested Shiv Sena on Monday [UBT] leader Sainath Durge after being questioned in connection with a modified video of Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Surve and spokesperson Sheetal Mhatre that surfaced on the internet. So far, the city police have arrested six people in connection with the case.
On March 13, a court in the city sent four accused persons to police custody until March 15 for allegedly making a modified video of Phatre.

“The 4 arrested persons were produced in the court which sent them to police custody till March 15,” an official of Dahisar Police was quoted by news agency ANI.
Meanwhile, a Special Investigation Team was set up by the government to investigate the case.
Questioning Sainath Durge
Durge, who is a core committee member of the Uddhav Yuva Sena faction, was being questioned in connection with the case, Dahisar cops told the media.
What is the cause?
On Saturday night, at a rally in Dahisar, Sena MLA Prakash Surve and Mhatre welcomed Prime Minister Eknath Shinde on stage. Some perpetrators made a video of the two [Prakash and Sheetal] which the duo claimed was edited with obscene sog playing in the background and was made viral on social media, Mumbai police said.
After the video went viral, leaders and workers went to Dahisar police station and demanded action against accused.
Based on the complaint filed by the woman leader, the police registered a case against unknown persons under sections 354, 509, 500, 34 and 67 of IPC and started investigation into the matter.
A further investigation is underway.
