Islamabad: Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir says that there is a disruption in the electricity system due to fluctuations in voltage and frequency, but efforts are being made to restore electricity soon.
According to the details, the Minister of Energy Khurram Dastgir has said regarding the breakdown across the country that there is no major problem, efforts are being made to restore electricity soon.
Khurram Dastgir says that the demand for electricity is very low during this season, some plants are closed due to low demand for electricity.
The power minister said that the problem occurred after opening the plant in the morning, due to voltage and frequency fluctuations.
It should be noted that there is a major power failure in the country, after the fault in the transmission line from Gudu to Quetta, Gudu, Jamshoro, Muzaffargarh, Haveli Shah Bahadur, Baloki power plants were shut down.
Hydropower generation from Tarbela and Mangala dams stopped when power supply increased from 500MW load, NPCC fuse had to be cut to save power transmission system.
Electricity is also off in various areas of South Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, power supply has been suspended in ISCO, LESCO, MAPCO and GAPCO regions.
NTDC and power distribution companies have started restoration work, it may take more than 27 hours to fully restore power.
