H3N2 influenza virus infection is increasing rapidly in the country. Gujarat has reported its first death due to this virus. A 58-year-old woman from Vadodara died during treatment at Sayaji Hospital, a hypertensive patient. The administration said the samples will be sent to a laboratory in Pune to be tested for the H3N2 virus. This is the third death in the country due to the mutated virus of swine flu (H1N1).
Earlier, an 82-year-old man died in Karnataka. The old man in question had some other illnesses as well. Also, a 52-year-old person has also died due to this virus in Haryana. This person was facing liver cancer.
Rapidly spreading H3N2 flu –
In India, the number of patients infected with H3N2 Influenza Virus is increasing rapidly and the infection is also increasing rapidly. According to the data released by IDSP-IHIP, a total of 3038 cases of different sub-variants of influenza, including H3N2, have been confirmed in the country till March 9 in the states. This includes 1245 patients in January, 1307 patients in February and 486 patients up to March 9.

– Symptoms of H3N2 virus infection include fever, chills, sore throat, body aches, itchy eyes and cough.
– Fever gets better in two or three days. But, the sore throat can last a little longer.

Health experts have also told people about measures to prevent H3N2 Flu Virus and also given some advice. Use a mask in this. Practice hand hygiene and wash your hands regularly. Along with this, experts have also said to get the flu vaccine once a year.
