Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal voluntarily paid the full price of the gifts taken from Tosha Khana.
Ahsan Iqbal deposited 19 lakh 19 thousand rupees in the government treasury and wrote a letter to the Cabinet Division Secretary after full payment.
According to the text of the letter, in 2018, according to government rules, donations were received legally, a men’s Rolex watch worth 15 lakh 50 thousand was received from Tosha Khana, according to the law, 3 lakh 4 thousand rupees were paid for the watch and taken from Tosha Khana Done, the remaining 12 lakh, which is 46 thousand rupees from the watch, has been deposited in the treasury.
He said that a carpet worth 1 lakh 39,000 was obtained from Tosha Khana, the price of the carpet was paid as per law 20,000 rupees.
According to the text of the letter, the rest of the carpet has been deposited in the government treasury.
The letter states that I have received the donations in accordance with the current procedure, that I am not required to make an additional payment in accordance with the law but that I am making a voluntary payment to avoid an allegation of misuse.
