Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A woman delivered her baby in a rickshaw on the hospital campus in the absence of a ward boy to receive the patient.

The woman was in great pain. However, when her car arrived at the hospital there were no staff to receive her, alleged car driver Madan Solanki. Wasting no time, Solanki drove the rickshaw into the hospital building where the nurses and staff took the patient inside the hospital.

But the hospital staff rubbished the allegations saying that the woman could not get to the hospital in time and that the baby’s head had already come out. Because of this, the staff helped her deliver in the car and later moved her to the delivery room.

“The 25-year-old woman had delayed arriving at the hospital. The car driver drove to the delivery room after the staff helped the patient deliver in the vehicle to save time. The mother and the baby is safe and healthy,” said Civil Surgeon Dr Pradeep Goyal.
